The story, written by Juan Carlos Chacón Cánovas and illustrated by Francisca Fe Montoya Hernández, will be used with children and adolescents who participate in the activities of the Department of Social Rights and Development Cooperation
A story of victory, overcoming, chess, generosity and emotions that intersect with facts that test the courage and limits of the human being is the essence of 'The lady of the boards', a story that the Department of Social Rights and Development Cooperation will incorporate the resources available in the programs with minors and adolescents.
'It is a' beautiful story that reconciles us with life and its reading offers the keys to dialogue and debate with young people, boys and girls', as Councilor Conchita Ruiz explained in the presentation of the book, written by Juan Carlos Chacón Cánovas and illustrated by Francisca Fe Montoya Hernández.
'The lady of the boards', edited by Aguaclara Libros, tells the difficult story of a girl and her relationship with the world, which is marked by facts that she will not forget all her life.
Through values, emotions and desire for evolution and empowerment with new situations, the protagonist will know a new world where she will become the true owner of her destiny, and despite the difficulties, she will discover the true essence of her being.
It is a current and moving story, which makes us think about how different situations that occur daily are confronted and resolved.
In addition, it accompanies the book a worksheet to deepen emotions, feelings and values such as solidarity, respect or overcoming.
Its reading is part of the extensive program of activities organized to mark the Children's Rights Week, which has been held since last Tuesday.
Today, at 4.30 pm, the cultural center of Monteagudo hosts precisely the storyteller with 'La dama de los boards'.
Given the nature of the story and the values and empowerment transmitted by its protagonist, the Department of Social Rights and Development Cooperation will use it in its intervention programs with minors, especially those aimed at the most vulnerable population and those related to the projects of attention to the infantile deprotection.
