Elderly people become professors for a day of the Nursing and Nutrition students of the UMU in Lorca and evaluate their work (14/11/2018)

The University of Murcia, in collaboration with the Chair Poncemar de Gerontología, organizes this Thursday, November 15, an intergenerational meeting between students of the Faculty of Sociosanitarias Sciences and various groups of elderly people of Lorca.

The activity will take place in the room of degrees of the Faculty of Sociosanitarias Sciences (Campus of Lorca), at 10 o'clock.

This meeting, which is part of a UMU teaching innovation project, offers students of this faculty the possibility of exposing older people to developed jobs in the fields of nursing and nutrition.

They will do it in small presentations of 8 to 10 minutes that will be evaluated by the attendees.

The main objective pursued with this day is to improve the vision that future health professionals have of the elderly and that they have the opportunity to use their knowledge to assess the health skills of young people.
