"85% of the projects that have participated in the previous fairs are underway or are constituted in less than a year", reported José Ballesta
A hundred entrepreneurs from Murcia today exhibit their nearly 60 business ideas and business projects in the Plaza de la Universidad, within the III Municipal Business Projects Fair.
The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Tourism and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco, inaugurated this morning the exhibition, "conceived as a showcase of Murcia's business initiative," the mayor said.
This year, the cultural and creative industries sector accounts for 44% of the business projects that are exhibited (fashion, accessories, music, design, architecture, events ...), technology represents 34% of business ideas (applications , (videogames, bitcoin, software development, SEM and SEO, logistics ...), while the remaining 22% belongs to innovative professional services (pediculosis, catering, tourism, agri-food, energy efficiency ...).
José Ballesta reported that "the profile of the participants is that of a man or woman from the municipality with an average age of 35 years and high school / bachelor studies, who are housed in the CIM-M (Center for Municipal Initiatives of the City of Murcia) or have participated in programs of promotion and consolidation of the enterprise ".
In this sense, the mayor indicated that "85% of the projects that have participated in the previous Fairs are constituted or are constituted in less than one year".
The exhibition consists of individual exhibition spaces for the services and / or products, presentations by the participating entrepreneurs, talks and conferences of the entities represented, as well as activities and entrepreneurial dynamics.
The objective of promoting and supporting the entrepreneurial projects of entrepreneurs participating in the different programs and competitions of the Economic Promotion service.
From 10 in the morning to 13.30 hours, more than a hundred entrepreneurs have exhibited their projects with activities of all kinds.
After this, a Gastro-Networking was held in the Molinos del Río, in which the entrepreneurs established relationships and strengthened ties.
In the afternoon, the Romea Theater, from 17.00 will host the Awards and Recognition Gala (I City, Creativity, Culture and Entrepreneurship Awards for the promotion of cultural and creative companies; Accelerator Crea-Web Crea-Empresas; V CIMM Awards - Chair of Entrepreneurs of the UMU for the best project for the creation of a company, XXVI Business Projects Competition of the City of Murcia).
The prizes have a total budget of 76,800 euros.
