The University of Murcia and the Ministry of Family and Equality of Opportunities of the CARM have signed an action protocol on Tuesday for the development of activities related to the elderly, disability and other social areas.
Catalina Guerrero, promoter of the protocol, explained that the aim is to improve the integration and social participation of these people in the Region of Murcia, in the interests of active and healthy aging.
"We want to move forward in the performance of actions that result, not in the object of the protocol, but in the subject, who are the elderly with disabilities," he said.
The Minister of Family and Equality of Opportunities of the CARM, Violante Tomás, pointed out that the signing of this protocol gives good account of the fact that the University must train good people as well as good professionals.
Finally, Rector Luján has been pleased to lead an institution that, responding to his commitment to society, believes in values ​​such as equality and inclusion, and works hand in hand in the pursuit of these objectives with institutions such as CARM and the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI).
