Socialist Youth of the Municipality of Murcia carry out a campaign in social networks to denounce the unfortunate situation in which is the great part of the historical heritage of the city.
The campaign consisted in denouncing through different memes the neglect that the municipal government has practiced towards our heritage as modus operandi during the last years.
In this campaign it is denounced, among others, the situation of the Wall of the city as it passes through San Nicolás, the House of Antonete Gálvez or the Torre del Fraile.
From JJSS Murcia we believe that our heritage is not only part of our history, but also of our essence as Murcia.
In the words of the deputy secretary general and municipal coordinator, María Rosell Ros: "it seems completely incomprehensible to us that an administration that should protect its history and its legacy, is dedicated to abandon it to its fate, knowing that, with respect to heritage, abandonment means disappearance "
On the other hand, the Secretary General of the organization, José Javier Espinosa expresses: "The clearest example of the abandonment of the patrimony by the Ballesta government is the San Esteban Deposit, which had to be the Government of Spain, with Pedro Saura as Secretary of State for Infrastructures, who mobilized to promote their recovery in order to avoid further deterioration. "
Finally, JJSS Murcia wants to demand the government team of Mr. Ballesta to be immediately involved in the recovery of a heritage that belongs to all of us and, as part of our history, we deserve.
