The Seneca Foundation-Agency of Science and Technology of the Region of Murcia, within the Regional Program of Support for the Transfer and Appreciation of Knowledge and Scientific Entrepreneurship, has just resolved the call for "Proof of Concept" in which it has granted 25 helps.
The purpose of these grants is to promote research results developed in universities and public research organizations in the Region of Murcia with a state of technological maturity that allows them to reach pre-demonstrations, technical feasibility checks or identification of marketing opportunities within the business world.
In order to achieve a policy of transparent, fair and rigorous funding, the Seneca Foundation has based its decisions on this matter in the expert judgment of the scientific community itself, resorting to independent specialists, to guarantee the correct allocation of economic resources and the projection of research in science and technology to the needs of society.
Of these 25 grants, ranging from 28,000 Euros to 16,800, 10 have corresponded to the University of Murcia, 6 of them being among the 10 best rated in the call based on the evaluation and the amount obtained.
The topics addressed by the 10 Concept Tests granted to the University of Murcia include lines of research such as diagnosis and monitoring of treatment in canine leishmaniasis;
the control of chromatic aberration;
continuous authentication on mobile devices;
leisure and multisensory training;
animal assisted reproduction;
the electronic nose applied to the microbiology of food;
nanobiotechnology applied to assisted reproduction techniques;
the digital reproduction of documents;
Chrononutrition and the treatment of obesity;

The projects will be developed throughout the year 2019 and will allow in some cases the incorporation of new professionals to the research teams of the University of Murcia, as well as the approach of research results to the business fabric and society of our Region.
