The city of Murcia participates in the International Tourism Fair of London with an intense agenda of meetings in which it will promote tourism 'city break' in the city through the package of accommodation and activities included that is called 'Pack Murcia'.
This package allows the visitor to combine any of the hotels in the city with a selection of eight experiences at various points in the Region of Murcia that include wine tourism in Bullas, diving in Cabo de Palos or a visit to the Mines of the Union among others activities.
Murcia Tourism has been integrated into the delegation of the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia (ITREM) where it has had its own space within the Costa Cálida exhibitor.
The professional meetings have focused on the promotion of the congress market and tourism in general.
Among the meetings with tour operators in the international market, those held with tour operators Typically Holidays and Enable Holidays, interested in family and personal destinations aimed at small groups and adapted for people with reduced mobility, have stood out.
It has also contacted the European Tourism Association (ETOA) to assess the promotion of Murcia as a tourist destination among the more than 1,000 global tourism companies that are part of this association.
Other tour operators contacted have been Destinia, Lastminute.com, Logitravel, World2Meet and European Cities Marketing who have been informed of the latest developments in communications and infrastructure offered by Murcia and its cultural and gastronomic offer.
The World Travel Market (WTM) in London has gathered more than 170 exhibitors from all segments of tourism this year and expects to surpass the figure of 87,794 visitors registered in 2017.
