The City of Murcia and La Verdad organize the Murcia Smart 2018 day, which will take place on Monday at 9:00 in the Palacio del Almudí.
These conferences aim to give visibility on ideas, plans, strategies and projects, on how to make cities smarter for the citizen, sustainability and improvement of public administrations among other aspects, making some of the advantages that new technologies bring.
The MiMurcia project carried out by the Department of Modernization of Urban Administration and Development directed by José Guillén will also be exhibited.
In this congress several representatives of the leading companies in the smart conversion of the cities meet.

Smart City
The city of Murcia has defined a Murcia 2020 City Strategy and a Murcia Smart City Strategic Plan (Smart Murcia) that set a medium-term journey of how to make Murcia smarter, more sustainable and friendly.
The objective is the implementation of an integrative management model that optimizes the different municipal services and resources, orienting each and every one of the areas towards the 'smart' model, so that the citizen does not conceive a network of watertight and independent services, but an open, interconnected, close and agile City Council, oriented to your daily needs.
In this sense, in addition to the MiMurcia project as a core element in the development of an intelligent city platform, other initiatives have been launched, such as the creation of the Single Monitoring Center (CEUS), which is a differentiating and innovative element of the project. Smart Murcia and will be located in the municipal building of Abenarabi Avenue.
With the application of 'big data' to all the information collected and centralized in CEUS, more efficient and effective decisions will be made.
CEUS will be the nerve center of the beat of the smart city, control room of the city, management of control panels and crisis room, as well as a center of attention and demonstration to the citizens of the 'smart' technologies and e-Administration 3.0.
Agreements have also been made with companies such as NEC for the development of the Innovation Center in 'Smart City', and it is important to highlight that all the specifications for contracting supplies or services of information and communication technologies have included that Any city service solution must be integrated into the MiMurcia platform to allow interoperability of the information.
