The vowel of Cambiemos Murcia in El Palmar, Ana Serrano, has made responsible today the state of the public school Ciudad de La Paz after the rupture of one of its pipes to the "inaction" of the government team for not complying with the motion that the municipal training presented, and that was approved in the Consistory Plenary, for the renewal of the system of potable water pipes of this educational center.
The motion, presented last February by the spokesman of the municipal group of Cambiemos Murcia, Nacho Tornel, requested the development and urgent execution of a project to renovate all the pipes of the school -constructed 40 years ago- before its "notable and evident deterioration" but the municipal government only changed those of the children's pavilion, which, on the other hand, were the newest, leaving the rest in the same situation.
The flooding of part of the pavilion is "an expected fact", according to Serrano, since "the works have not been undertaken despite the fact that it was a prevailing need of the center, and that the parents of the students have claimed in a crowd of occasions. "
"It is less striking that while our public schools suffer from the neglect of the Administration, private receive more and more public money," said the vowel.
Let's change Murcia has taken to the Municipal Board of El Palmar the situation of the pipes of the CEIP in several occasions, and even the represented formations approved an initiative so that the renovation project was carried out last summer with charge to the Extraordinary Plan that elaborated the City Council, who finally did not include it and only renewed the part that was giving more problems at that time, that of the children's area.
Serrano also recalled that parents of school students have repeatedly alerted the president of the Municipal Board, Daniel Hernández, Citizens, who "has not provided any solution" to avoid the problem.
