The Poncemar Chair of Gerontology of the University of Murcia celebrates between the 24th and the 30th of October the First Conference of Fragility and Falls in elderly people, which will take place in the University Campus of Lorca.
The days, of free access, are accredited and aimed at professionals of the sociosanitary branches of attention to the greatest: nurses, nutritionists, psychologists, pharmacists, graduates in sport sciences, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and doctors.
Seven tables are programmed each from a professional branch, 4 workshops, involving 25 renowned speakers in each discipline and 140 professionals have registered.
In the preparation of the program have participated, in addition to the Advisory Board of the Chair, the Professional Professions affected and representatives of the Murcian Health Service.
The aim of these conferences is to update and review the knowledge of professionals in the socio-health branches regarding frailty and falls in elderly people.
The opening ceremony will take place this Wednesday, October 24, at 4:00 pm and will have the vice-rector of Coordination and Assistance Services of the University of Murcia, Paloma Sobrado, as well as representatives of the City of Lorca, the Faculty of Sciences Sociosanitarias and of the Poncemar Foundation.
