The project of revision and diagnosis of the state of conservation, multidisciplinary study, adoption of consolidation measures and temporary exposure in the archaeological site of San Esteban has passed today the procedure of the Contracting Committee, chaired by Eduardo Martínez-Oliva.
The intervention will be developed within a period of two months and will involve the archaeological study of the I enclosure, maqbara, oratory and adjacent streets, including the complete excavation of the areas not documented until now, as well as a consolidation and restoration of the preserved architectural structures.
The works are attached to the collaboration agreement between the City of Murcia and the University of Murcia.
One of the objectives pursued with this action is the direct participation of neighbors and visitors in the knowledge, conservation and enjoyment of the site.
To achieve this, it is planned to condition visitor circulation areas, original streets and archaeological sites, so that it can be visited as soon as the wooden road ends (reversible), through which you can walk through some of the streets, until accessing the I enclosure and cemetery / oratory.
The cost of the intervention will be 68,960 euros and will be carried out by Salmer Cantería y Restauración, which will require the necessary documentation to send the proposal of award to the Government Board.
Sports facilities
On the other hand, the Contracting Committee has resolved that Concamar SL deals with the contract for maintenance, collection, registration, access control and cleaning in the Espinardo and Zarandona pavilions (lot 1) and in the pavilion, sports center and swimming pool. Palmar (lot 2), with a total budget of 133,688 euros.
Similarly, it has also been decided to propose the award of three contracts for the teaching and first aid service in municipal sports facilities, with a budget of 4,136,003 euros.
These are the Mar Menor, Infante, Bacons Bridge, El Palmar, Murcia Park, Espinardo, Corvera, Alquerías, El Raal, Rincón de Seca, La Ñora, Aljucer, Sangonera la Verde and Sangonera la Seca pools.
In addition, these contracts include the Palacio de Deportes, José Barnés Sports Center and Monte Romero Stadium.
Thus, Ebone Servicios Educación Deporte SL will take charge of two lots, whose total cost amounts to 3,764,808 euros, while Vectoris SL will deal with the third, with a budget of 371,195 euros.
Network of cultural centers
Finally, services for the operation and technical assistance in cultural centers, auditoriums, theaters and events in public spaces have also been part of the agenda of the Contracting Committee.
In this case, of the three contracts in which these services are divided, today the third one has been subject to examination, whose cost amounts to 1,604,460 euros.
The two previous ones - amounting to 539,235 euros and 1,089,295 euros - passed this procedure in a previous session.
In all three cases, Salzillo Servicios Integrales SLU will be the company selected for these awards.
