The Board of Spokesmen has today agreed to replace the name of the Avenida de Alicante to be named Alejandro Valverde to the road that starts from the junction of the sculpture roundabout 'Tribute to the poets' with Avenida Miguel Induráin, to the limit with Cobatillas.
In this way, the city pays homage to one of the most outstanding and beloved athletes by Murcia, an example of effort and work.
In its route, the highway will pass through sections of the districts of Zarandona, Tocinos Bridge, Casillas, El Esparragal and Monteagudo.
On the other hand, the Board of Spokespeople has approved to initiate the dossiers of concession of the Gold Medal of the city to the Unit of Transplants of the Arrixaca and the Silver Medal to the Parrandboleros.
Also, the Debate on the State of the Municipality will take place on Monday, November 5.
It will be the third edition of this plenary session that was held for the first time in 2016.
As in previous editions, the session will begin with a 40-minute intervention by the Mayor, followed by the participation of all municipal groups, with 20 minutes each.
After half an hour of the Mayor's address to respond to the speakers, they will have 5 minutes per group, before the Mayor closes the debate with a 10-minute speech.
