Joaquim Bosch, export speaker of Judges and Judges for Democracy, and Ignacio Escolar, director of eldiario.es, present on Tuesday, October 23, `The abduction of justice.
Virtues and problems of the judicial system.
The event will take place in the law room of the Faculty of Law (Campus de la Merced), at 7:00 p.m.
The book covers, among other topics, the fight against corruption, the interference of political power in the judicial system, the role of justice in the Catalan territorial conflict, the abuses of banking, the functioning of the defense of women in issues of sexist violence, the deterioration of rights such as the presumption of innocence and freedom of expression, the criminalization of immigrants, or the limited application of the law of historical memory.
There is also room in the text to praise the one that, according to the authors, is the healthiest part of the Spanish judicial system, and that is formed especially by the thousands of judges of first instance who should be brought to court European cases such as the abuse of banking.
