The University of Murcia has set up the Expert Committee on the Financing Model, which was created with the aim of studying and proposing a financing plan for the institution for the period 2021-2025.
This committee, created at the request of the rector, José Luján, and the manager, José Antonio Cascales, are university professors and professors specializing in financing and public sector economics.
The Committee is chaired by Antonio Calvo-Flores Segura, professor in the Department of Quantitative Methods for Economics and Business, academic director of the ENAE center and ex-Vice-Chancellor of Economy and Infrastructure.
As members of the same have been appointed: Mª Esther Ortiz Martínez, full professor and director of the Department of Financial Economics and Accounting;
Samuel Baixauli Soler, professor in the Department of Business Organization and Finance and dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business;
José Daniel Buendía Azorín, full professor and director of the Department of Applied Economics;
and María Belda Ruiz, professor hired doctor in the Department of Organization of Companies and Finances and coordinator of Economy of the UMU.
Through this Committee of Experts, the University of Murcia aims to anticipate, from excellence, the needs of improving its funding system, thus ensuring the efficient use of public resources and budget stability for the exercise of its functions.
Aware of the responsibility of universities with society, the University of Murcia aims to take a step further in the quality of the performance of its key role in the extension of knowledge and the generation of new engines of economic and social development.
The Committee of Experts works with a calendar that will allow you to have a proposal of the financing plan for the beginning of the next academic year 2019/2020.
