The collaboration between the Association of Driving Schools of the Region of Murcia (Aramur) and the City of Murcia, carry out the 'Vial Week', a unique event in Europe that positions Murcia as a reference in terms of road safety and is celebrated until Thursday.
This morning, the councilors of Traffic and Public Safety, Lola Sanchez, and Social Rights and Development Cooperation, Conchita Ruiz, attended the activity 'Blind people at the wheel' in La Fica.
Together with the ONCE, the teachers, members of Aramur, have enabled dozens of vehicles equipped with double command at the service of a group of 30 blind people in a closed circuit, to give them the possibility of getting behind the wheel for the first time.
In parallel, training courses adapted to disability have also been carried out at La Fica, in a conference organized by Aramur jointly with the association of traffic victims ASPAYM.
At 12 they have started the 'Training sessions for professionals' in the Provincial Traffic Headquarters of Murcia, with the aim of promoting the continuous training and improvement of road training teachers of the driving schools associated with it, with the aim of giving the best training for their students and that they are safe drivers.
The third edition of 'Vial Week' aims to reduce road accidents 'in itinere', ie, those traffic accidents suffered by the worker to go to or return to the workplace, as well as accidents 'on mission', referred to to the trips made by workers outside the company premises during their workday.
In addition, this event seeks to remember the rules of circulation between pedestrians, cyclists and drivers, encourage risk perception and self-care in all roads.
In short, it is a week full of different activities related to road safety and the agents involved.
Other activities of the third edition of Vial Week
The social responsibility will have its presence tomorrow in 'Vial Week' through a blood donation campaign in the Provincial Traffic Headquarters of Murcia, from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm.
According to the organizers of this week's road safety, "although all efforts are made to ensure that traffic accidents are zero, they continue to exist, and blood donations are necessary, and not only for those injured in traffic accidents, as well for patients in general, "they say.
This day will be donated by the professors of the driving schools associated with Aramur, their students, traffic officials and citizens in general, who "may have this gesture of solidarity that also saves lives."
Road safety at work
On Thursday, 'Vial Week' will move to the headquarters of the Croem to celebrate from 9.30 to 12.15 a theoretical-practical demonstration day to the prevention technicians of the companies associated with the employer, to promote that workers attend the CNAE, Aramur and Croem Foundation courses to reduce 'in itínere' and 'on mission' accidents.
It should be noted that 'Vial Week' will count until that day with two information points, one located in Plaza Santo Domingo and the other in Avenida de la Libertad.
