The Municipal Socialist Group has echoed the fifth fire caused in the public school Antonio Delgado Dorrego, which was yesterday with children inside, which has caused an obvious alarm between parents and mothers because with this there are already five fires in almost two months, specifically 9 august, 22 september, 23 september, 29 september and 2 october.
However, the spokesperson, Susana Hernandez, said that "without removing the seriousness of this latest event, the parents of the school have spent years denouncing and claiming improvements in a public center that welcomes around 600 students and ensures that is massified" .
Therefore, "the fifth fire caused is the straw that breaks the glass in a center where they have been announcing deficiencies and needs for 15 years and for which we have claimed works on many occasions and through different motions in the Plenary, which have fallen on deaf ears "and recalled that the spokesman of the PSOE in the Municipal Board of Sangonera la Verde, Paco Noguera, has also raised different initiatives.
However, the spokeswoman announces a new initiative in the next plenary demanding immediate solutions.
Hernandez has declared that "the vandalism suffered by some of the public schools of the municipality is favored by the lack of Local Police, since the insufficiency of human resources makes it impossible to cover the whole territory of Murcia mainly the districts because they have not been incorporated since 2009 new agents, I am sure that if this government team, with the mayor Ballesta at the helm, had taken a little seriously the serious problem that we have the neighbors with a staff absolutely depleted, we would not be a day to day also denouncing thefts in homes or, as in this case, fires in schools ".
Also, the spokeswoman explained that "the deterioration suffered by public schools is also driven by that clear commitment that is making the Popular Party for private education, there is more to read the news of this week in which evidence that Murcia leads with Madrid the increase in spending on education agreed in the last decade, affirming that private-owned schools supported by public funds have grown in students, investment and demand at a faster pace than the Spanish average, which is genuine discrimination and systematic abuse of the public school, that of everyone. "
Meanwhile, "for continuing to speak of the parents of the Antonio Delgado Dorrego school, they have been demanding improvements for 15 years that mitigate or resolve, multiple deficiencies, for example, there is no assembly hall, there are missing shadows, an obsolete electrical system has to be updated, asbestos, resources are needed to attend to diversity, also computers, maintenance of digital whiteboards and projectors and, in addition, to replace the stolen material, since the center has also suffered different thefts ", as pointed out by Paco Noguera.
