The Museum of Science and Water, in collaboration with the Association of Scientific Dissemination of Murcia, joins one more year to the celebration of the World Space Week, which this year 2018 is celebrated around the world with the slogan 'The space unites the world. '
The Museum will participate in the World Space Week, scheduling from October 4 to 7, among other activities, the screening of the documentary 'Nanocosmos, a trip to the small' (Thursday at 6 pm and Friday at 7 pm), special sessions of planetarium with the scientific disseminator Miguel Ángel Paredes throughout the weekend, and an astronomical observation guided by the Astronomical Association of the Region of Murcia (Friday from 8pm to 10pm).
In addition, two conferences will be held on Saturday, October 6.
At 12 noon will talk about 'Solar Órbiter: Instrumentation Made In Spain' by María Balaguer, Project Manager of one of the instruments of this space probe that will observe the sun with an unprecedented resolution.
The conference 'Polar and Space Exploration will take place at 7:00 p.m.
Two epochs, the same spirit 'with Javier Cacho, scientist, disseminator, writer and member of the first Spanish expedition to Antarctica, who will narrate the similarities and differences between the heroic era of the exploration of the frozen continent, and the experiences to which will face the future explorers of Mars.
With this background, Javier Cacho will also count his work as a researcher and explorer in polar lands while he gives an advance of his next book 'Yo, El Fram' that will go on sale at the end of October.
Except the planetarium sessions, all activities are free until full capacity is reached.
