The neighborhood of Santa María de Gracia celebrates this weekend its patron saint festivities, which begin on Thursday and will last until Sunday.
Among the events planned the first day is the reading of the proclamation by Marcos Salvador Romera and the award of "Neighbor of the Year" to the health center of the neighborhood and, in its representation, the workers who have reached retirement .
It will take place at 20:00 in the plaza of the health center.
Before, at 5.30 pm, the children of Communion will make an offering of flowers and then, at 7:00 pm, there will be a mass sung by the rondalla of the Home for the Elderly.
The activities of the maxi mural creative, which will consist of a Zumba workshop and Holi game, will begin at 5:00 pm on the Paseo Ramón Gaya.
On Friday, the planned program includes a hot air balloon next to the Medieval Market, a family concert at 7:00 p.m., a tribute to Rocío Dúrcal at 9:30 p.m. and a dance session starting at 11:00 p.m. at the Fofó Garden.
The 18th National Outdoor Painting Competition opens the events of Saturday, which also includes a gymkhana 'pirate', football tournament and activities in the Fofó, among them, gastro vans, in addition to the Alex O'Dogherty show & the Bizarrería at 22.30.
Paella solidarity
A cycle route 'De güerta through the neighborhood' will take the exit on Sunday, at 9.30 am, from the gas station next to the Zig-Zag center, while at 2 pm, at the Ramón Gaya Garden, there will be a tasting of paella solidarity for the benefit of women at risk of exclusion.
The program also includes the procession in honor of the patron saint, on Saturday afternoon, and the celebration of a solemn mass in her honor, sung by Peña Palmera Melón.
In addition, during the four days of festivities, the Tapa Route will be celebrated in which 16 bars of the neighborhood participate.
