"We want to invite all readers and writers of Murcia to give feedback with their experiences."
This was expressed Carmen M. Pujante, professor of the Department of Spanish Literature, Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature of the University of Murcia in the presentation of the II meetings with literature in Murcia: Poet (s) today, which has been presented today at the headquarters of the Las Claras Cajamurcia Foundation.
Professor Pujante has ensured that these II meetings with literature, "which we organize from the University of Murcia", are aimed at everyone: those who cultivate poetry and those who read it, and that aims to be a party that adds to "the party that Murcia is living these last weeks "in relation to literature.
On the other hand, until a few days ago professor emeritus of the UMU Manuel Martínez Arnaldos, commented in the presentation that this event, although scarce in budget, "puts a great feeling" in all the organized events, adding that "we want to offer a university, academic and, above all, human reach ".
"Our intention is commented that the poetry that is shown reaches all the writers and readers of the region, and that it is launched outside our borders more and more".
Consuelo Mengual Bernal invited in the act "poetry lovers and those who are not," so they can know what is done in Murcia, while Sandra Mendoza Vera vows for the promotion of reading and the intention of the organizers of breaking the binomial of poetry and solitude, taking it to a more public sphere.
The objective of the conference, which began in October last year, is to give value to authors and literary groups before the reading public, national and international, university and non-university, all through different initiatives focused on living literature and today's poetry.
The II Encounters with Literature in Murcia intend to summon the different generations to be able to establish synergies and draw conclusions from literary criticism.
The II Encounters with Literature in Murcia, "Poet (s) today", will be held between October 9 and 19, and will bring together various events: the fire will open, from 9 to 11 October, a poetic writing workshop in the Faculty of Arts by Alberto Caride and from October 15 to 19 the rest of the programmed, varied and participatory activities will be developed in different venues.
