It will start Ganvam-Cimed Equality Tell Me, a structure of expert advisers who will offer personalized attention both telephone and online
This new advisory service aims to boost the role of women in the sector with the aim of incorporating equal opportunities and treatment as a basic strategic value within the corporate culture and society in general.
This is an action resulting from the collaboration agreement between the employer of the distribution of vehicles Ganvam and the International Chair Women, Business and Sports of the Catholic University of Murcia.
Both entities will coordinate the necessary actions to help and guide SMEs in the distribution sector to implement measures aimed at achieving this comparison, since, today, only companies with a staff of more than 250 employees have a legal obligation to implement equality plans.
For this reason, one of the axes of action of this alliance will be to have a detailed diagnosis of the situation of the sector from a gender perspective.
From there, training and the exchange of knowledge will be promoted to foster a change of mentality that sensitizes SMEs that a strategy based on equal opportunities is synonymous with progress.
In addition, it will support companies in the process of developing and developing measures and equality plans, making known work methodologies and disseminating good practices already implemented in other companies.
That is why, in addition to the publication of guidelines, a structure of expert advisers is set up under the name Ganvam-Cimed Equality Tell Me, to allow personalized attention both by telephone and online.
According to the president of Ganvam, Lorenzo Vidal de la Peña, having an equality plan in GANVAM is of great importance because "it will have an immediate internal effect on our companies." In the automotive sector, women have historically underrepresented. "
For María Jesús Bonilla, director of the Women, Business and Sports Chair of the UCAM, "the collaboration between both institutions will be a step forward to raise awareness and support the development of equality plans in a sector in which women traditionally have not had a relevant role. "
