Approved the project that will allow to complete the rehabilitation of all housing blocks of Los Rosales (28/09/2018)

The Governing Board today approved the dossier, which includes among its clauses for hiring the obligation of the winning company to incorporate 30% of people in the neighborhood into unemployment and have an equality plan for incorporation women's work

The intervention of urban regeneration, which is carried out through the joint action of the City Council, the Ministry of Public Works and the Autonomous Community, has allowed the recovery of 638 houses in the first phase, to which the remaining 275 will be added to reach 100. % of homes.

The Governing Board has today approved the project that will complete the process of comprehensive rehabilitation of all housing blocks in the Barrio de los Rosales.

This II phase of the plan of urban renewal of this enclave of El Palmar will reach 275 houses of 5 buildings that were pending to be fixed, once the first phase was completed, which involved the renovation of 638 homes in 24 blocks.

This new phase, which will have a maximum execution period of 8 months, will involve an investment of 1.6 million euros, of which the City will contribute 1 million, the Ministry of Development around 530,000 â‚¬ and the Autonomous Community about 150,000 â‚¬

With this action all the houses in the neighborhood have been rehabilitated in blocks and redeveloped all the spaces and squares, since in the project approved today also includes the improvement and adaptation of the squares Laurel, Acacias, Naranjos, Madroños, Moreras and Almendros, as well as the deteriorated urbanization elements of other roads, in particular, the streets Pinos and Cipreses.

Regarding the clauses incorporated for the tender of the project, it is established as mandatory for the winning company the incorporation of at least 30% of the workforce must be unemployed and registered -at least one year before the award of the contract- in the neighborhood of Los Rosales.

Also, among the environmental and social criteria to be met by the contracted company include:

- Insertion of disadvantaged groups: the winning company commits to incorporate at least 10% of the workforce from the group of unemployed people who are especially hard-pressed to access employment.

- Promotion of equality: the bidding company that has implemented an equality plan or set of effective measures for the labor incorporation of women or the transformation of labor contracts in indefinite for women will be valued.

- Stability of the workforce: the contractor undertakes during the execution of the contract to comply and certifies that at least 30% of the workforce assigned to the work will be indefinite.

- Development of an action program and environmental management
