The 'Networks for free time' Program of the Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, directed by Rebeca Pérez, launches its new program of free leisure activities and free time weekend for young people from 12 to 30 years .
The new program begins on September 28 and ends on Sunday, December 22, and will have activities for 12 weekends.
The activities, which have been presented this morning, will take place in different places to facilitate the participation of young people by boosting the weekends, as well as carrying out workshops in cultural centers, in municipal youth spaces as well as in municipal sports halls and pavilions .
"We always try to make the new programming interesting and varied, attending to the requests and suggestions of the young people This quarter we will repeat activities that have had a great participation in previous programs, such as the cooking workshops, but also new ones, so that the young people of the municipality can develop all their skills in any discipline "explained Rebeca Pérez.
Some of the proposed activities are canoeing, on October 13, initiation to climbing, on November 4, hiking in the Valley, on November 25 and two guided tours to bring participants to the history of our city: 'A walk through the archeology of Murcia 'on Saturday October 20,' Stories and legends of Murcia 'on Saturday November 3.
Another of the novelties of this quarter is the realization, on October 27, of the first edition of the urban dance championship "Limón y pimienta" that will have two individual categories in the form of dance battles, the style 'Breaking' and ' All Styles'.
The new technologies are also present this quarter with the workshops 'Design of APP for iOS, Android and Windows Phone' and 'Creation of web pages with Wordpress'.
In addition, cooking workshops are re-scheduled, given the success they have had in previous editions, such as Halloween recipes, autumn or Christmas.
This quarter they return the activities in the university social center, Campus de Espinardo, to facilitate the maximum participation of university students.
In particular they will be developed on Thursdays, Latin salsa and rhythm class and on Friday, oriental dance and Bollywood.
There are also programmed batucada activities, in the cultural center of Espinardo and a day of bubble football, on October 6 in the sports hall of Corvera.
There is also a workshop on natural cosmetics, Christmas decoration and handicrafts with recycled materials, at Espacio Joven El Palmar.
In addition, the Networks program continues betting on inclusive leisure, and therefore during this quarter three inclusive championships will be held: an inclusive table tennis championship, at the El Palmar Youth Space on November 24.
The championship of petanque inclusive in the sports club Las Palomas (San Basilio neighborhood) on December 1 and the swimming championship inclusive in the pool of the University of Murcia, on December 22.
Young people can also attend workshops such as Kpop skate, scooter, skating, BMX, chess, personal defense, fencing, table tennis, jugger, manga comics, electric guitar, Spanish guitar, drawing and painting, with more than 40 leisure alternatives Free for young people during weekends.
