The works to extend the service in the Ebro River Street of the district are finished, an environment in which there is a high industrial activity.
In addition, two other projects are being written on Avenida Lorca and Calle Pantano de la Fuensanta, which will be carried out this coming year.
The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, visited the Sangonera la Seca district today, where the expansion works of the sanitation network in the vicinity of Río Ebro street have just been completed and two new actions are being undertaken on Lorca Avenue and the street Pantano de la Fuensanta.
"The three works have a total investment that exceeds 900,000 euros and represent an important extension of the service for the families of the district and the industries that develop their work in this environment," said José Ballesta.
The works on Calle Río Ebro, which have already been completed, have had a budget of 200,000 euros and a deadline of two months.
This is an environment in which there is a high industrial activity in the different warehouses and the project has involved the installation of 13 new sanitation connections and eight new supply connections.
In addition, Aguas de Murcia is currently drafting the execution projects for the expansion of the sanitation network on Avenida Lorca (eastern part) and the renovation and expansion of sanitation on the street Pantano de la Fuensanta.
On Avenida Lorca, the action includes the execution of a sewage pumping station that will directly benefit 36 ​​homes and industries.
Its execution period is 6 months (the works are expected to be completed in the second half of 2019) and its budget amounts to 573,000 euros.
With respect to the action on the street Pantano de la Fuensanta, whose project is being drafted, will improve and provide the basic sanitation service to the surrounding homes, completing the expansion of the sanitation network in the hamlet.
Its budget is 143,000 euros and it is foreseen that the works, with a term of execution of three months, will conclude in the first quarter of 2019.
Works in 16 districts this summer
The action completed in the street Rio Ebro is part of the Action Plan for Summer of Aguas de Murcia, with a total investment of 3.1 million euros, which has included a total of 19 works in 16 districts and two neighborhoods of Murcia.
"The objective is to improve the quality of service in neighborhoods and districts, modernizing the network and establishing new stretches, interconnections and improvements both for water supply and for the sanitation system," said José Ballesta.
In particular, the districts where works have been completed this summer have been Corvera, Patiño, Bacons Bridge, El Raal, Valladolises, San Ginés, El Palmar, Sangonera la Seca, Lobosillo (two performances), Javalí Viejo, La Ñora, Espinardo, Torreagüera, El Puntal, Santa Cruz and San Benito (Barrio del Progreso), in addition to the Murcia neighborhoods of Santa Eulalia and San Andrés.
