NOW MURCIA demands Mayor Ballesta greater transparency in the management of EDUSI European funds and in the project associated with these aids, the 'Murcia 2020 Strategy'.
The councilor Alicia Morales points out that there are important deficiencies in the information that the municipal government has made public about these funds, highlighting in this sense that the project website does not offer the 'Implementation Plan for EDUSI (Strategy for Sustainable Urban Development and Integrated) City Strategy Murcia 2020 '.
Morales contrasts this transparency policy of the City of Murcia with that of other consistories of the Region, which have posted on the Internet, for public knowledge and access by any interested person, the implementation plans of their strategies.
"It is the case," he says, "of Molina de Segura, San Javier or Alhama, among others, to which must be added the case of town halls, even small towns, from other regions."
The municipal formation, in the motion that will defend in the next Plenary, also demands that Ballesta give the opportune instructions so that they are published in the web 'estrategiamurcia.es' "the municipal documents, plans, projects and programs elaborated for the request, management and development of the Murcia 2020 City Strategy, as well as external reports, valuations and concession and evaluation resolutions. "
The proposal of Ahora Murcia concludes with the request that "outdated or erroneous documents be updated in the aforementioned website".
"The objective," says Alicia Morales, "is that citizens have all the information related to a project that Mayor Ballesta qualifies as essential for Murcia but is not making known to Murcia and Murcia and its correct provision".
The councilor points out that now Murcia requested by internal communication to Ballesta the implementation plan on July 17, without getting a response.
On the other hand, in the documentation that appears on the website of the project, certain 'anomalies' are seen, "as in the case of the Institutional Antifraud Declaration of the City of Murcia, which appears signed by the mayor despite not having previously gone through the Plenary Session, "the opposite of what happens with the rest of the institutional statements that are usually approved in the Plenary." Murcia also asked the mayor about it, "with silence once again for an answer".
