Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesus Pacheco, along with the president of the Municipal Board of Los Garres, Jorge Serna, has presented this morning the programming of the parties of the district that will be developed from next Saturday September 29 until October 30 and that will be announced by Juan Antonio Pedreño, president of Ucomur.

Pacheco explained that "this year, in which the parties last more than a month, a special role will be given to the cultural activities that will be added to the recreational, children and gastronomic creating a program for all audiences and tastes."

Thus, the different gardens of the parish will host the collective exhibition 'Eclosion', consisting of the ten eggs of 1.80 meters high painted by artists from Murcia in 2016, and the Gaya Cups, painted by Antonio Ballester, Nicolás de Maya, Manuel Delgado, A. Martinez Mengual, Manuel Perez, Araceli Reverte, Katarzyna Rogowicz, Marcos Salvador Romera, Salvador Torres and Ruben Zambudio last Museum Day.

In addition, the Plenary Hall of the Municipal Center will host the photo exhibition 'Woman garreña' in which the story of the most representative women of the district will be told.

Dictinio de Catillo- Elejabeytia Gómez and Cristóbal Pérez will show their works in an exhibition at the Cultural Center and, in addition, they will paint live works that will be drawn for the benefit of the Spanish Association against Cancer of the district.

Also noteworthy are the sports activities that will consist of demonstrations of the clubs of the taekwondo hamlet, rhythmic gymnastics, archery and fencing, baseball and boxing, which join a Caliche and petanque championship, Zumba classes, the IV Cresta del Gallo runing day and the senderista march of the Club Severo Ochoa Nacho Marcos.

Likewise, the district will host different culinary activities such as a slaughter, churros and chocolate, the Night of the Torra bread with sobrasada, tasting of paella, the Night of the meatloaf and the route of the tapa.
