Huermur has had knowledge, by being party to the proceedings, of the resolution of the Director General of Cultural Property, which dismisses the BIC request from the Royal Powder Factory requested by the Heritage Platform.
The conservationist organization regrets the lack of will of the Ministry of Culture to declare BIC the Royal Factory created by a Royal Order of Philip IV in 1637, so they hope that this decision has not been influenced by the urban pressure of the centric zone of Acisclo Díaz.
Huermur urges the City of Murcia to immediately comply with the measures dictated by Culture and modify the catalog file and include the entire building, the gardens, the Aljufía and Turbedal ditches, the Bullfighting Club and the municipal statistical headquarters.
The collective points out that the Ministry of Culture of the CARM has urged the Consistory also to review the record of the Javalí Viejo Gunpowder Factory, and to identify the gunpowder mills that are still preserved in the main irrigation ditch of Aljufía in the orchard of Murcia.
The Association for the Conservation of the Garden and the Heritage of Murcia (Huermur) regrets that the Ministry of Culture of the Region of Murcia and the Directorate General of Cultural Property have rejected the request to declare Cultural Interest (BIC) Real Factory of the Powder of Murcia, a building created by a Royal Order of Felipe IV in the year 1637. This request was made by the Heritage Platform, and Huermur is an interested party and personda in the administrative procedure.
From Huermur regret the lack of will of the regional administration to declare BIC the Factory, so they hope that this questionable decision has not been influenced or conditioned by the immense urban and real estate pressure of the area where it is, next to the street Acisclo Díaz, in the heart of the city of Murcia.
In the same sense and having known the guidelines set by the Ministry of Culture to the City of Murcia on this matter, Huermur urges the Consistory to amend the protection sheet of the catalog of the Special Plan of the Historic Center of Murcia (PECHA) of the Real Factory, including the whole building, the gardens, the Aljufía and Turbedal ditches, the Taurino Club and the municipal statistical headquarters.
Powder Factory in Javalí Viejo
The resolution of Culture also urges the City Council to review the record of the factory of Pólvora de Javalí Viejo and include all the original properties that remain of the old construction.
On this point, Huermur remarks that the state of the Javalí Viejo Gunpowder Factory has already been communicated to the Ministry of Culture and the City of Murcia some time ago, so that the technical services evaluated the real state of the real estate of its interior and the pertinent actions will be initiated.
Finally, Huermur points out that in addition to the above, the General Directorate has requested the City Council to identify the gunpowder mills that are still preserved in the main ditch of the Aljufía and that are classified for protection.
Therefore, Huermur expects the Consistory to get down to work immediately, and abide by the regional administration in reference to these important assets of the garden of Murcia.
