The vowel of Cambiemos Murcia in La Alberca, Álvaro de Verástegui, today showed his "stupor and disappointment" at the refusal of the PSOE, member of the government team of the municipal board, chaired by Citizens, to the presentation of the Cultural Agenda and the performance of the solidarity acts included in it, which will be held next month as part of the popular festivities.
De Verástegui has explained that the Agenda, prepared by him as a member of Culture and Education and presented to the members of the Government team - of which he is a part - last July, includes cultural events such as Theater and clown pro Refugiados and Murcia Acoge, Music against rare diseases (Pro AEFAT) and solidarity Magic pro Food Bank.
"We have been doing this type of activities for three years without any problem and it seems unwelcome and disrespectful to us with the programming work carried out by the PSOE proposal to take it out of the festivities at the last moment and when the program is about to be printed. ", has supported the vocalist of the municipal training.
In his opinion, the argument of the "excessive cost" of the Agenda given by the Socialists to justify their opposition "is not held taking into account that the total budget of the same is 11,000 euros for 10 days of activities and, above all, while they assume other expenses such as the 846 euros of the Day of the Banderita, the 4,448 of the magazine of Holy Week or the 8,400 of the next performance of Azúcar Moreno ".
De Verástegui has shown his "discomfort" with "these little collaborative attitudes among government partners in the meetings, which make the long-awaited change of direction in municipal management more difficult, with respect to the conservative approach".
"The creative, social, solidarity and alternative bets are held back against agendas loaded with religious and populist acts," he added.
