The University of Murcia wants to show that traveling to the Espinardo Campus by bike or roller skates is an affordable, fun and healthy option, in addition to respecting the environment.
For this, and coinciding with the events planned for the European Mobility Week, the UMU has organized a collective ascent to the campus on bicycles or skates for next Thursday, September 20.
The participants will leave Campus de la Merced at 8 a.m.
and they will arrive at the Veterinary School.
The route also has among its objectives to claim better infrastructure and bike lanes so that moving to the Espinardo Campus is seen as a feasible and safe option for more and more people.
The first one hundred participants who register will receive a vest, a T-shirt and enjoy a breakfast on the terrace of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
After replenishing forces, a raffle will be held in which registrants can win:
Three annual bonds of MuyBici.
Eight courses of revision and basic maintenance of the bicycle, in charge of Bicitallernomada.
Ten passes of ten sessions of the Virtual Indoor Cycle Activity of the Sports Activities Service of the UMU.
Those who do not have a bicycle, but want to participate in the activity, can request when they register a rental bicycle, which they can pick up at the meeting point of the march that morning.
The activity is a walk, so that anyone can face it, whatever their fitness.
Registration can be formalized until September 19 through the UMU service page by bike.
