The Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, directed by Rebeca Pérez, is committed to the maintenance and conservation of public lighting and therefore, this week has started a comprehensive plan with the repainting of more than 60 streetlights in various streets of the city .
In particular, this action has begun in the street Alejandro Seiquer to continue during the next few days in the street Pintor Villacís, Isidoro de la Cierva and Ceballos.
The actions to be carried out consist in the elimination of stickers, advertisements and adhesives in the column of the luminaires, and subsequent cleaning and painting of the same for their perfect maintenance.
"The integral Plan of public lighting, is going to be undertaken in phases, and has as its objective the maintenance and conservation of the luminaries of the municipality," reported Rebeca Pérez.
According to the street cleaning ordinance, it is considered a minor infraction to place signs in places that are not allowed, the commission of a second infraction would be considered serious.
"In this way we make citizens aware of the importance of respecting the rules and taking care of the furniture and street lighting to ensure that the city is in perfect conditions" concluded Rebeca Pérez.
