The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, participated today in the traditional 'Aperitivos Taurinos', organized by the Real Club Taurino de Murcia, where he showed the commitment of the regional government to the National Festival and assured that "it is an event that reactivates the economic activity, generates wealth, employment and tourism ".
During this meeting we proceeded to the presentation of the awards of the Bullfighting Fair of Murcia 2017. Three of these awards went to the Lorca bullfighter Paco Ureña, specifically the corresponding to the 'Best torero de capote', 'Trofeo al valor' and 'Mejor thrust'.
On the other hand, the prize 'Alfonso Avilés' to the best puyazo was for Pedro Iturralde, picador of the gang of Paco Ureña.
López Miras put in value that the Region of Murcia was the first community in Spain that declared the bullfighting festival of Cultural Interest, and explained that, in addition, the regional government has 21 steps in place to continue supporting this activity.
