More than 110 people make up the special cleaning plan for the Pilgrimage (10/09/2018)

The Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, directed by Rebeca Perez, has scheduled a plan for cleaning and collection of waste for the days of the Fair, which is working 225 people on average every day in the city and in the festive enclosures .

To the 189 people who work daily in the area of ​​the urban area, there are 37 that are providing service specifically during these days.

In addition, from the experience of previous years, where more than 100,000 kilograms of waste are collected in the venues where parties are held, 260 garbage containers and 107 units of portable public toilets have been installed.

For the concert Murcia Fin de Feria, which will take place tonight, a device is planned after the event with the aim of leaving the area completely clean the next day.

The device has 1 foreman, 17 workers, 10 mechanical equipment, 20 waste containers and 10 portable toilets.

On the occasion of the Pilgrimage of the Virgin of the Fuensanta, a special device has been prepared, which is developed over four days, in which 119 people and 41 vehicles will work.

Today the surroundings of the Fuensanta are being cleaned, employing a total of 12 people with machinery.

During the day of the Pilgrimage, the garbage collection schedule of that area will be advanced so that the containers located along the route are empty early in the morning.

Tomorrow, at 6 o'clock, there will be a review of the itinerary contemplating the container points and the bins.

On the tour will be placed twelve selective collection points and 48 portable toilets.

After the mass, in the Plaza Belluga and in La Glorieta, specialists pawns with a scrubber and a hidrolimpiador team, they will clean the remains of wax.

Also, 3,000 candle holders will be distributed among the pilgrims, to be placed in the candles and to avoid the spillage of the wax on the pavement.

Behind the retinue, there will be a special team consisting of 4 foremen, 14 drivers, 4 pawns specialists, 16 cleaning pawns, 2 tanker truck, 2 multilift truck with box, 10 street sweepers and 4 sidewalk sweepers.

During the two days after the Pilgrimage, cleaning work will be carried out in the surroundings of the Fuensanta with 3 foremen, 8 drivers, forty-three pawns, 2 collection trucks, 1 tanker truck, three road sweepers and two multilift trucks.

To give continuity to the public awareness campaigns carried out by the City Council, at the beginning of the ascent to the mountain a caravan will be placed, where a team will distribute 10,000 biodegradable bags with the 4 colors of the selective collection under the slogan of the campaign ' Do not be Marrano 'who will remind pilgrims of the need to keep their city clean and take care of the environment through recycling.

Similarly, another similar caravan will be available in the Sanctuary of Fuensanta where a team of service workers will also request citizen collaboration in cleaning.
