The forecasts of rains planned for tomorrow force to suspend some acts of the program of celebrations of the Fair of September.
The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco, in coordination with the State Meteorological Agency, AEMET and the group of Moors and Christians, have decided to suspend or postpone some events scheduled for tomorrow.
Suspended balloon race that was scheduled tomorrow at 8:00 am (the winners of the contest will be personally notified of the new date to go up in a balloon).
Suspended the display of arcabucería that was scheduled tomorrow at 18:45 in the Plaza San Agustín.
Postponed the I Regional Paparajotes Contest to Sunday September 16, at the same time.
Postponed the Harvest Festival that was scheduled at 1:00 pm in the Malecón Garden (the new date will be announced shortly).
Postponed the Theater in Fair that was foreseen in the Fofó Park to Monday.
Postponed the representation of the commemoration of the embassy of the City of Murcia Foundation that was planned in the Plaza Belluga at 21:00 hours.
It is postponed to Monday, where it will be joint with the embassy of the delivery of keys of the city of Murcia to the infante Alfonso X el Sabio.

The City of Murcia establishes a coordination team in anticipation of heavy rain
The City Council has prepared a special device before the notice of the State Meteorological Agency of adverse weather events for the next few days.
In this coordination team are the councils (Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, Traffic and Citizen Security, and Urban Planning, Environment, Water and Garden) to which also adds the Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, for its possible affection to the different events scheduled at the Murcia Fair.
In this way, the alert has been activated to all the services included in this special device and that are the following:
Local police
Civil protection
Firefighters
Traffic
Waters of Murcia
Street Cleaning
Street lighting
Parks and gardens
A total of 110 agents of the Local Police are alerted to activate the flood plan and act minimizing the possible effects if heavy rains occur.
In addition to the regular weekend service, there will be 80 agents to deal with possible incidents that could cause the rains from tomorrow, accounting for a total of 110 police officers.
The agents will establish different control points although they will pay special attention to Espinardo, Beniaján, Sangonera la Seca, Cabezo de Torres, Churra, La Alberca and Sangonera la Verde because these are the most affected districts when it rains.
To this, the 37 personnel envisaged in the Fire Guard personnel will be added.
What is intended with this plan is to intervene as quickly as possible and respond immediately to the requirements of the residents of the municipality to minimize the effects of possible heavy rains, establishing priority actions.
