The Municipal Socialist Group has asked the mayor, José Ballesta, if he has taken the appropriate precautions given the weather conditions after learning that the forced landing of two of the six hot air balloons that have taken part in an activity organized and promoted by the City Council caused three injuries
The air regatta scheduled for today at the September Fair and that has started from the José Barnés sports center has taken the shock to those who have participated in it and has caused minor injuries to several of the people who crossed the Murcia skies. Weather conditions that were not the most suitable, with rain and gusts of air.
"From the Socialist Group we are glad that the aforementioned balloon race has not had major consequences, but we believe that we must be prudent and that nothing should be risked for a photo", according to the councilor of the PSOE Begoña García Retegui.
For all this the Socialist Group will ask about the official channels of the City Council why it was decided to leave the race, as well as who made that decision and if all the recommendations raised by the experts were met.
