On September 8, the guided tours of 'Plural Feminine' return.
On this occasion the route will be dedicated to publicizing the role of women in the Murcia Fair.
The meeting point and registration is in the bullring at 11.30 am, the maximum number of participants is 30 and the approximate duration of an hour and a half.
"In this session we will discuss the role of women in traditional festivals such as the Feria de Murcia, giving prominence to these women who, from areas as diverse as bullfighting or the virgin's camaraderie, enrich our heritage", explained the Councilor for Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz.
The route will tour the Plaza de Toros, the Fine Arts Museum, Santo Domingo and the Cathedral of Murcia
In the first stop will talk about women and bulls and will be announced the figure of the first woman who achieved the card that accredited her as a bullfighter in Spain that was the Alicante Maria de los Angeles Hernandez Gomez (1946 -2017), known in the rings like Ángela, and other bullfighters like Conchi Ruiz, Dolores Gómez Rodríguez, Verónica Rodríguez, and Carmen Sánchez, among others.
The second stop will be dedicated to women in the Romería using the ground floor of the Museum of Fine Arts, specifically in the work 'One more day' by Inocencio Medina Vera and the article by Fin Hurtado 'The woman as a carrier of tradition and renewal in the pilgrimage of the Virgen de la Fuensanta '.
The third stop will star the woman and the religious party in which they will talk about the Camaras de la Fuensanta together with the sculpture by Ricardo Codorniu, under the ficus of Santo Domingo, where Pilar de la Cierva de pequeña is represented.
The route will continue in the Cathedral to continue knowing the figure of the woman and the religious festival.
