The City Council will renew the façade of the Sports Palace with an investment that exceeds 487,000 euros.
The works, whose specifications have been approved by the Governing Board, are carried out to eliminate cracks and moisture that affect the façade and thus guarantee the safety of users and prevent landslides.
Thus, the cladding of the façade and exterior stairs will be replaced, which will also be consolidated, and the structure of pillars and slabs will be repaired.
The works will be carried out within a maximum period of six months.
We must remember that the parque of the Palacio de los Deportes was completely renovated last January.
The Palace of Sports, opened in 1994, hosts the official matches of the UCAM Murcia Club de Baloncesto and ElPozo Murcia Futsal, has a capacity for almost 7,500 spectators, in addition to offering 870 seats for users for sports activities.
