The Lemon Pop festival, a classic of the month of September in Murcia, will return one more year with what is its 23rd edition, from August 30 to September 1.
There will be three nights of music with totally free entrance in which you can enjoy national and local groups and even an international band that returns to Murcia, in this festival that has the support of the City of Murcia and the sponsorship of Estrella de Levante.
Luna New Yorkers head this new edition of Lemon Pop. The band led by Dean Wareham will present 'A Sentimental Education', their last work published last year in which they cover songs by groups like The Cure, Fleetwood Mac, Mercury Rev, David Bowie or Bob Dylan.
One of those confirmations that makes this festival so special.
They also include Los Pilotos, a band made up of Banin Fraile and Florent Muñoz from Los Planetas, Fino Onoyarte, bassist from Los Enemigos, or Futuro Terror, which have become one of the most important emerging national bands.
Murcia groups like Perro, Noise Box, Fernando Rubio and Murciano Total, already consecrated at national level, will also be at the festival.
There will also be room for emerging local bands like Amor Germanio, the very young Jump to the Moon or the recent winners of the CreaMurcia Pop Rock The Meatpies.
The concerts will take place on the nights of Friday, August 31 and Saturday, September 1, at the Auditorium of the Fofó Park in Murcia starting at 7:00 pm with free admission until full capacity is reached.
The festival will begin on August 30 with the presentation party at the Espacio Molinos del Río, at 7.30 pm, where you can enjoy the concerts of Pájaro and Ross.
The Lemon Pop has become over the years in the most beloved festival in the city of Murcia.
He has passed groups such as The Planets, Tender Trap, The Wedding Present, Australian Blonde, The Sunday Drivers, TV Smith, Fangoria, Nacha Pop, The Darling Buds, The Secrets, Vetusta Morla, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Helen Love, Fanfarlo, The Primitives, The School ... or others like Lori Meyers and Sidonie when they were still emerging bands.
It has also seen local bands such as Second, Neuman or Perro grow, which are currently among the most outstanding of the national circuit.
