Pope Francis will preside over the Eucharist this Sunday with which this international meeting will be closed
The president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, intervened this morning in a panel of experts in which he reflected on the theme 'The joys and challenges of being parents today', framed in the congress held on the occasion of the World Meeting of Families that is celebrated this week in Dublin (Ireland).
Pope Francis will preside over this Sunday a mass Eucharist with which this event will be closed and José Luis Mendoza will attend.
The president of the Catholic University of Murcia said in his speech that "Christian marriages are committed to live seriously our life of faith" and has placed value on prayer as an "umbilical cord that puts in continuous communication to the family with God "
José Luis Mendoza also stressed that "as Pope Francis tells us, the family is a precious treasure that we all must take care of".
Also, the president of the Catholic University of Murcia has also stressed that "the word of God must be at the center of our Christian homes."
In addition to José Luis Mendoza, a member of the Pontifical Academy for Life with his wife, by appointment of Pope Francis, several international experts have also participated in this meeting to discuss various issues related to 'family and love', always the light of the encyclical of Pope Francis 'Amoris Laetitia'.
The World Meeting of Families is convoked by the Holy Father and promoted by the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life of the Holy See.
This dicastery is chaired by Cardinal Kevin Farrell who participated in the III International Congress of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods organized by the UCAM with the Cabildo Superior de Cofradías de Murcia last year 2017.
