The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco, visited the Malecón garden this morning to check the assembly and installation of the Gardens, the Gastrovin Wine and Gastronomy Fair and the Moros y Cristianos camp.

In total 15 orchards will be installed that will offer the best of Murcia gastronomy every night from Thursday August 30 to Monday September 10, from 19 hours.

The Orchards that occupy the Malecón's garden are those of the Museum of the Huerta, of Santiago, of the Vega del Segura, of the Vega del Segura of the Peña La lebrilla, of the Virgen de la Vega, of the Tuna de Medicina, of Alhama, del Rocío, San Basilio, Virgen de la Salud, Aires de Murcia, Salzillo, Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza, La Purísima and Virgen de las Lágrimas.

Pacheco explained that "the Malecón garden will once again be the temple of Murcia gastronomy because this is one of the aspects that best define our culture and history." On the one hand, the vegetable gardens reflect the essence of our popular food while the Fair of the Wine and the Gastronomy demonstrate the quality of the current Murcian kitchen ".

In addition, both the prices of the gardens, and those of Gastrovin will remain the same with respect to those of last year.

Thus, the tray of the Wine and Gastronomy Fair will cost 11 euros (allowing the consumption of 3 wines to choose, 3 tapas, a beer, a wild card, 3 free tastings of the gastronomic workshops, a participation in the draws, a scratch and a gift glass) while the prices of the Gardens will be as follows:

'You have your head in the Fair'

The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco, has taken advantage of the visit to the Malecón garden to present the campaign that announces the festivities and which, in 2018, is entitled 'You have your head at the Fair'.

On this occasion, graphic images of four characters whose head is occupied by fairground horses, guitars, boats and banners of Moors and Christians have been chosen.

"With this campaign we want to emphasize that the important thing of our Fair are the people since we designed the program thinking of the enjoyment of Murcia and visitors of all ages," said Pacheco.

The image can be seen in the 50,000 hand programs that will be edited, in mupis, in social networks and in the media.
