The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure carries out a work to improve the drainage of the RM-603 highway, which links the districts of El Palmar Murcia and Sangonera La Verde.
The general director of Roads, Francisco González Manzanera, supervised today the action framed in the conservation program of the regional road network and that will suppose an investment of more than 32,000 euros.
He highlighted the traffic intensity of this road that annually exceeds 533,000 vehicles, of which 40,150 are heavy.
The work consists of the construction of a new arqueta and reinforced concrete wall for the containment of lands.
In addition, the cleaning of pipes will be carried out, so that it will allow the correct evacuation of water.
The new gutter will also be rebuilt on the right bank, protecting it with concrete to avoid scouring the embankment.
