Nearly a hundred gardeners of the Park and Garden Service of the City of Murcia work intensely these days to beautify the city facing the start of the course and the September Fair.

More than 70,000 seasonal flowers will fill Murcia's flower beds in anticipation of the September Fair.
Numerous seasonal flowers will be placed in such emblematic places as La Glorieta, Plano de San Francisco, Malecón or Santa Isabel, among others.
To do this intensive work almost fifty gardeners.
The City of Murcia, through the Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development, directed by José Guillén begins to prepare the city for the celebration of the September Fair.
"The Fair is lived in the street and our purpose is that Murcia can enjoy a city adorned and cared for throughout the year we strive for the residents of the municipality enjoy the green areas, parks and gardens in all its glory, but we understand that the arrival of the September Fair is a special moment to dye the city of color with different types of flowers.Outdoor spaces are one of the main attractions for tourists who come these days as for the Murcians themselves " , explains the mayor of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development, José Guillén.
It is planned to plant seasonal flowers of various colors, among which highlights the sage, sunflowers, geraniums or coleos.
These works will be carried out by almost fifty gardeners of Parks and Gardens of the municipality of Murcia.
This morning, Councilman José Guillén has visited different places where these multicolored flowers are being placed, such as the Malecón, the Glorieta, the Plano de San Francisco or Santo Domingo, among other significant enclaves.
In addition to the main areas of the city that are decorated on the occasion of the Murcia Fair and the start of the new season, this plantation is also being carried out in neighborhoods and districts, thus completing all the green spaces of the municipality.
This is one of the three annual campaigns to replace plants with flowers both in the city and in each of the districts of the municipality, in which hundreds of thousands of seasonal flowers are planted.
The works are added to those made in the Special Summer Plan in which around 200 workers have been working on the replacement, pruning, treatment and revision of singular trees, the cleaning of lakes and springs, lawn mowing, treatments against pests such as the weevil, cleaning of palm trees and pruning in topiaria of the different entrances, medium and round of the city, as well as the construction and maintenance of parks and new areas of children's game.
