Last summer, 73,525 bathers used the municipal swimming pools, "to which the state of the facilities must have seemed more or less good," Felipe Coello responded to Citizen's criticisms of the matter.
The Councilor for Sports and Health denies any doubt about their conditions for use because 'otherwise it would not open to the public' and remember that they are subject to continuous inspections by Health.
In addition, the balance also includes summer schools, which brought together 11,868 people, to which 2,694 private and 9,174 derived from social services are added.
The councilor indicates to Citizens that the lifeguard and teaching program adds an expense of more than € 123,000 and includes swimming lessons for 254 children and adults in both Corvera and Alquerías.
'In the rest of the swimming pools, no courses are offered because of their proximity to the swimming pools that we have open from September to June with more than 12,000 seats offered,' warns Coello, on the sidelines of the municipal concessions (Inacua, La Flota, Verdolay, Cabezo de Torres and JC1).
On the other hand, Coello advances that 'our concern is to offer Murcia the best services in terms of sports activities and facilities, so we are already working on possible measures that we will implement next summer'.
