The Jorge Manrique pedestrian bridge is added to the environmental and ornamental lighting installed by the City Council throughout the urban Segura River, through a performance promoted by the Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, directed by Rebeca Pérez.
For this, the technicians work these days in this project, which will be completed before the end of the month.
This is the installation of 82 projectors from the Murcia manufacturer Secom, model Protek LED, RGB type (programmable color) of 50 W, replacing the existing projectors (115 units) with discharge lamp of up to 70 W., reducing the power and the consumption by 47%, generating an economic saving of € 2,800 / year and a reduction in CO2 emissions of 7.7 tons per year.
The intervention is carried out after the recent replacement made in the glass floor of the walkway to solve the security problems that the type of pavement involved, highly slippery in high humidity conditions.
The lighting available, indirect type, was located under the glass platform and once this platform was modified, it was totally ineffective, so it was necessary to replace it.
The projected lighting will now be through RGB LED (variable color), controlled by the DMX protocol, which is compatible with the recently installed on both banks of the river, so it will be integrated into the ornamental lighting system that is being provided to this axis of the city.
