The socialist councilor Enrique Ayuso asked the Department of Urban Planning, Environment, Water and Garden led by Antonio Navarro Corchón for the tubing of the Calixtros armory, in the hamlet of Cobatillas, and regrets that they end with the hallmarks of the municipality
"It can not be on the one hand talk about that we must protect the agricultural area of Murcia as a heritage asset is and then hide the acequias as if we were embarrassed, which is what is done with the consent of the team of Mayor José Ballesta, "said Ayuso.
The mayor has visited the armband of Los Calixtros, which is the channel of the ditch of Pitarque that has been projected to pipe, and has done so after the Association for the Conservation of the Garden and the Heritage of Murcia (Huermur) denounced the tubing by means of concrete pipes in undeveloped land with a high environmental and landscape significance and whose conservation is essential for the environmental quality of the metropolitan system of the valley as a whole, according to the General Plan of Urban Planning (PGOU).
For this reason Huermur will file a complaint with the City of Murcia and the Municipal Socialist Group will ask for such situation to the Consistory with the intention that clarify terms and, if necessary, debug responsibilities.
Ayuso, who has been able to verify in situ that there is no sign that specifies the municipal license of work and simply appears one in which is read 'Street cut by works', will ask why this action is carried out after that in 2015 a similar work was carried out by the Board of Landowners in the same canal as it passes through El Esparragal and Casillas.
