Taught by professors of Engineering in Telecommunication Systems, Civil Engineering and Architecture, they had a meeting with the UCAM Racing Team, after passing through London where they competed in the Shell Eco-marathon, the most important international event in the world in the design of ecological cars and low energy consumption.
The UCAM, through this project granted by the European Union, trains Vocational Training students from different regions of Italy in energy efficiency, sustainability and the environment.
During their stay, students carry out practical work related to topics such as waste recycling, water purification or 3D printing applied to issues related to renewable energy.
They have also worked on the architectural field, and have even proposed a streetcar solution for their cities, in Italy, since they lack this public transport.
In addition, they have studied the theme of the electric vehicle.
"We used the UCAM electric car as an example and after knowing the regulations of the race in which we participate, they have proposed improvements to achieve greater energy efficiency," explains Rafael Melendreras, vice dean of the Degree in Telecommunications Systems Engineering.
"They have had a very complete tour for everything that we are working on here at the University and we can teach them," he concludes.
