The City of Murcia, through the Department of Sports and Health directed by Felipe Coello has completed the works of covering the basketball court located at the Infante sports center, on Avenida Pío Baroja in Murcia.
"In this way we provide a more sporting facility in the area of ​​the infant, with all the necessary means for citizens to enjoy basketball at any time of the year.We try to put all facilities to promote sports in the city," said Felipe Coello
The improvement of this basketball court has been carried out, meeting the needs of extending the sports service to all residents of the municipality.
The work consisted in the construction of a roof for the basketball court attached to the sports building.
This self-supporting roof, has almost 1,000 m2 of surface and is supported by the structure of the covered sports center, with a row of metal supports, steel, 5,583 kilos, which have been installed in the paved space on the side.
The company awarded the contract is Urbimed Levante SLU and the execution amount is 82,280 euros.
