Councilman Juan Vicente Larrosa will raise a motion to the Plenary tomorrow for the City to prepare a maintenance plan and include in the future specifications of the public transport service clauses that end with the inconvenience of those waiting at the roadside and in many cases have nowhere to sit
The Municipal Socialist Group in the City of Murcia will propose in the Plenary that a motion will be held tomorrow Thursday demanding the Government Team to prepare a maintenance plan for existing bus stops in the municipality and to carry out a study for the placement and renewal of said stops, especially in districts, in order to meet minimum requirements for accessibility, signage and information.
This is indicated by the councilman Juan Vicente Larrosa, who will be in charge of the PSOE to discuss this proposal in the plenary session.
"We are going to demand that these requests be included as clauses in the future specifications for contracting the public transport service", the mayor points out.
The bus stops could be understood as a passenger-bus exchange device that contributes to an optimal functioning of the public transport flow system, since it helps to establish a specific rhythm in the urban road dynamics.
"Its design and morphology must be adapted to the urban context where it is located and its implementation should be justified taking into account the waiting time and the degree of exposure to wind and sun or rain, although the use of pedestrian shelters is recommended", explains Larrosa, who stresses the need for these stops to meet the minimum conditions for the comfort of travelers and their protection against inclement weather.
In that sense, the councilor of the PSOE stresses that there must be enough space to sit, that the banks are comfortable and that the space in which the stop is located is clean and illuminated and has access for people with disabilities.
In addition, it is necessary to provide a clear identification of the routes of the coaches in the canopies.
