The City of Murcia will allocate a game of 62,500 euros to finance education projects for development and awareness for this year 2018, whose standards have been approved today by the Governing Board, at the proposal of the Department of Social Rights and Development Cooperation.
The deadline to submit proposals will be open the day after its publication in the Borm and will continue until September 14.
The granting of grants will be used for projects submitted by non-governmental organizations for development, entities, institutions and non-profit associations established in the municipality of Murcia.
The purpose of these grants is to promote in Murcia society, especially among children and young people, the inspiring values ​​of the Sustainable Development Goals, and education for global citizenship, as well as the training and training of volunteers for work in the community. They also aim to foster the temporary reception of minors from developing countries.
On the contrary, actions that aim to pay the operating expenses of the NGO, or its promotion or dissemination of publications that give information about the activities carried out by it, will not be eligible for financing.
Regarding the necessary requirements that entities must meet to receive these grants is not to pursue profit or economically or institutionally depend on lucrative entities or public administrations and have sufficient structure and human and material resources to ensure compliance with your social purposes.
These will be associations that have as institutional purposes the realization of activities of cooperation for development and promotion of solidarity among peoples or demonstrate in a reliable manner that the entity acts in that area.
