The Municipal Socialist Group will take to the Plenary next Thursday a motion to urgently undertake works that provide space for pedestrians on the road of La Alberca attending to "a basic and just need" for neighbors and neighbors of both districts, as indicated by Councilman Enrique Ayuso, who will defend this proposal.
The populations of Algezares and Santo Ángel have been suffering for years from the lack of security that exists to make the displacement on foot between both along the La Alberca road.
In spite of being separated both localities by hardly 300 meters, their neighbors and neighbors do not have a sidewalk by which to be able to walk in safe conditions.
Since 1995 the various governing teams of the Popular Party in the Consistory and also in the municipal councils since 1995 have repeatedly promised that this much-needed work would be carried out and there have been numerous times that motions have been approved in these meetings to build the sidewalk without that today the problem has been solved.
"For the Socialist Group, the construction of an infrastructure as basic as a sidewalk is essential, just walk the short distance between the districts referred to understand the enormous risks that are suffered every day by dozens of neighbors who either They move to the bus stop in Santo Ángel on line 29, to a supermarket in both towns or to visit a family member, "explains Ayuso after visiting the area along with councilor Maite Espinosa and the mayor of Algezares, Juan José Garre .
"Of course, more than three years ago, in the spring of 2015, coinciding with the last municipal elections, the definitive solution of the problem was announced, which, however, soon ended with the construction of a few meters of sidewalk in Algezares. and deception are the sensations that hundreds of neighbors of these two peoples have before the frustration of not being able to see satisfied a demand so simple and so just ", adds the mayor of the PSOE.
In addition, Ayuso recalls that "unfortunately" the lack of sidewalks reported here is not something timely or isolated in the districts of the municipality.
In this regard, he stresses "the lack of a serious, rigorous plan of action and the necessary funding to solve this problem so common in Murcia and that generates risks of abuse and inconvenience" to those who are unprotected by motorized traffic.
