Workers of the night shift of garbage collection and cleaning of the municipality of Murcia have shared photos on social networks that show "before and after" their working day in an initiative with which they intend to publicize the importance of their work.
Showing their dark circles and tired faces after a hard night touring the streets of the city and the districts, Cespa workers want for once to see the effort they make to carry out a task as necessary as invisible.
According to one of the drivers, "our work is not one of physical fatigue but concentration, we have to be attentive to the computer screen, the joystick and ensure that there are no underground mailboxes and platforms open to avoid accidents, trying also do not disturb the neighbors. "
With a free August every seven or eight years, for the rotation of shifts, and a day that lasts until a quarter to five in the morning, for these workers there are no summers of beach and deckchair.
Initiatives such as this one have been launched on other occasions by health personnel of the Emergency Services to show how they are affected by 24 hours of "work and tension".
