Insists that there is a unanimous consensus on the need to preserve the remains in situ, complying with the archaeological methodology, according to the guideline of the Directorate General of Cultural Assets
The Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, Rebeca Pérez, explained that "the work of Alfonso X is carried out with the supervision of the municipal archaeologist, the archaeologist of the company responsible for the remodeling and the General Directorate of Assets Cultural, which are the technicians who should direct these works'.
The Spokesperson of the PP has responded to Huermur and urged him to assume that heritage is defended in this way, 'with rigorous work and qualified professionals, not solely based on writing press releases that distort reality'.
Regarding the archaeological remains recently found on Santa Clara Street, Rebeca Pérez recalls that there is a unanimous consensus on the need to maintain and keep them in situ, complying with the archaeological methodology, pending at this time only the report of the General Directorate of Assets Cultural on convenient mode of preservation.
'If Huermur has any other member, apart from its president, and, in that case, has an archaeologist partner, he will know that we act with rigor and responsibility,' added the councilor.
On the other hand, he acknowledges that although 'we know that Huermur is fighting to gain a space in the media, it is unacceptable that he intends to do so with unfounded alarms', points out Pérez, who recalls that this project has been open to participation and endowed with the maximum transparency from the first moment.
In addition, the remodeling project of Alfonso X has its own account in social networks, where an exhaustive monitoring of the evolution of the works is made.
